Description

Stainless Steel Lanyard Tube, 1/4" for handle pins (6.35 x 145 mm )

Steel lanyard tube for using in knife handles, this is for one pin of length approx 145 mm and with a outside diameter of 1/4" (6.35 mm).

These have a thicker wall than the brass lanyard tubes (1.6 mm) leaving a hole of about 3 mm.

A freely machinable grade of steel, soft and easy to work with hand tools and polish up great.

Drill a slightly larger than 1/4" (6.35 mm) hole in the handle block or scales using a 6.4 mm drill bit or an "F" drill bit.

Using a 1/4" drill bit will work by lightly sanding the pin until it can be gently tapped in. However to avoid risk of splitting the scales it might be better to use a slightly over-sized drill bit.

Then glue into handle block or scales when gluing together the knife.

Nice easy to work tube. Ends can be flared to create a nice hollow rivet.
