Description
SG4 Blade, Stainless Steel
Stainless blade in 440C steel in a gift box, with steel bolsters and steel handle pins included.
All you need is a set of handle scales, to make your own handle.
The flat ground blade is hardened, sharp and ready to go.
Work required:
- Tape blade up well to protect it and you while working
- Glue on the steel bolsters and pins with araldite or similar 2-component epoxy
- Peen bolster pins until they stick by hammering them lightly (optional step as they are epoxied on)
- Take handle scale to blade, drill through blade for handle pins 1/4"
- Repeat on other side
- Glue on handle scales with epoxy glue and clamp well
- Shape handle scales with belt sander, files or similar
- Sand well to has high grit as possible
- Seal with UBHF, axe wax or other product
