"Sloyd" or Wood Carving Blade, Hand Made in Australia

Carbon Steel blade in 1095 high-carbon tool steel, hand made at Hillbilly Forge in NSW.

These are specialist blades, custom made by requests from spoon carvers and wood carvers.

Total length including stick tang is about 115 mm, blade is approx 53 mm long, about 13 mm high and 2.8 mm at the spine. As each blade is hand made from shaping, grinding as well as heat treated and hand finished before sharpening they are all individual in exact size. 

Short and sharp with great edge geometry for controlled, safe carving these are a natural compliment to the Hillbilly range of spoon carving blades.
