Puukko Lappi 62, Carbon Steel with Sheath "Rabbit Knife"

Traditional Scandinavian style woodsman knife in curly birch, reindeer antler and carbon steel blade.

The blade is about 62 mm long, 17 mm wide and about 3.2 mm thick, total length is 170 mm. This is a smaller knife, for smaller hands or for more delicate work like a "rabbit knife".

The handle is in arctic curly birch and reindeer antler as well as a spacer in heat treated birch.

The knife is hand made in Finland by Lappituote using a production blade from Lauri and handle materials used for generations, and comes with a brown leather sheath. The sheath says "Hand made in Lapland" on the dangler and has some traditional figures of reindeer added.

This is a quite slim and elegant version of a traditional puuko, only 170 mm long, and about 23 mm wide at the middle. The blade has a traditional Scandi Grind, meaning the bevels go partially up the side of the blade, with forge scale left from the heat treatment.
