Description
Large Spoon Carving Blank, Beechwood
Large spoon carving blank for a kitchen serving spoon or similar sized spoon, these are about 300 x 60 x 30 mm in size and ready to carve. The advantage of these blanks is taking out all or most of the axe work, making these popular with spoon carvers without easy access to a chopping block. These can be completed end to end using only a set of spoon carving knives (hook knife and sloyd blade).
Beechwood is an attractive, medium hard wood that displays some grain character while the colouring is still uniform across the pieces so a matching set will look more uniform than for instance the black walnut blanks.

Large beechwood spoon blanks
Arrived quickly and look great. Big to design just about any sort of spoon from it. I haven’t started on them yet but looking forward to it. One came with a fine crack in the head so I emailed to exchange it, response was quick and a replacement sent out straight away. Great service, would definitely recommend.
