Carving axe with carbon steel head and thin bit for spoon carving from Nordic Edge, heavy enough to get the job done and light enough to be useful for finer work.
This kit is suitable for both right and left handed crafters.
Nordic Edge Spoon Carving Axe:
Good sized axe for finer work such as spoon carving and wood carving. Thin, sharp bit and comfortable handle in hickory.
Head is 1055 carbon steel, hardness 53-55 HRC with polished flats and poll.
Handle is hickory, flamed and sealed with tung oil for a comfortable grip.
Total length 315 mm, head 138 mm, edge 81 mm, total weight 750 gr.
Axe comes with handy sheath in veg tanned leather.
These are production axes, not hand made but made in small batches and are not "perfect" as in a production axe with perfectly straight sides but show signs of being hand made.
Mora Sloyd Knife with 60 mm blade, the "Mora Kniv 120"
Carbon Steel blade, polished to a near mirror finish with a sturdy handle in oiled birch and comes with a plastic sheath.
Blade is 60 mm long, 2.7 mm thick and total length is about 165 mm incl handle.

Double-edged spoon carving knife from Swedish brand Mora in carbon steel.
This hook knife has a double-edged blade. This knife has a radius of 25 mm – perfect for the initial coarser hollowing.
The barrel shaped handle is made of oiled birch wood, which gives it a natural feeling and also gives you the possibility to form the handle yourself for optimal shape. Mora 162 hook knife is sharpened on both sides, meaning it can be held in either the right or the left hand.
