Description

Brisa Wharncliffe Blade

The Wharncliffe is easily recognised by the strong, downswept tip. A useful blade shape for cutting and opening where a piercing tip is not required.

This is the high-quality version from Finnish brand Brisa, made in 14C28N, a Swedish razor blade steel made by Sandvik.

The Wharncliffe is a very useful blade shape. The blade geometry is superior  for opening boxes, cutting cardboard, leather thanks to the aggressive point down.

The blade is 3.6 mm thick with 75 mm of blade that is about 25 mm high. Total length including the skeletonised handle is 170 mm.

The usual Brisa EnZo attention to detail, precision ground bevels and corners and a sating finish make for a quality blade.

The holes in the handle fit 1/4" lanyard tube in the rear and a 1/4" corby bolt in the front hole, fitting the 4.6 mm centre section of the corby (so the hole is 4.6 mm, not 1/4")

Nice blade, I like the style and size, makes for a good neck knife.
