Brisa Kephart 115 Kit with Pre-shaped Handle Scales & Sheath

Bushcraft knife kit with Brisa Kephart blade from Finnish brand Brisa and pre-milled scales in micarta or Curly Birch;

Work required:

To complete the kit you need to attach the scales to the blade with 2-component epoxy (like Araldite) and screw in the corby bolts. When the glue is dry, file down the bolts until they are flush with the scales. Sand the scales to your desired finish and if wood, seal with our handle finish, tung oil or wax.

Kit comes with:

  • Brisa Kephart blade in Carbon Steel
  • Handle scales are already shaped and drilled (see photos)
  • Corby bolts to glue in and file down
  • Lanyard tube for the last handle hole
  • Leather Sheath

Horace Sowers Kephart (September 8, 1862 – April 2, 1931) was an American travel writer and librarian, best known as the author of Our Southern Higjhlanders about his life in the Great Smoky mountains of western North Carolina and the classic outdoors guide Camping and woodcraft.

Kephart knife offers utility with a blade  adequate for carving wood, skinning deer and cooking. The thin, full, flat grind allows a fine cutting edge, and the spear-point profile is excellent for removing the hide from a deer or elk without puncturing meat plenty of belly for processing game in the field and the camp kitchen.A small guard prevents the forefinger to slide forward onto the cutting edge.

Blade length 115 mm in 80CrV2 Carbon Steel, fulltang construction for a strong knife.

Classic, simple, traditional and part of outdoor or "bushcraft" history.
