Description
Mora 77 Knife Blade
Carbon Steel blade, polished to a near mirror finish.
Mora blades are made in Mora,Sweden, the maker has over a century of history in making these blades.
The blade is made from carbon steel of high hardness laminated between sides of more flexible, softer steel.
This gives a very hard, sharp cutting edge (61 HRC), a strong flexible blade and allows for a thinner blade.
The blade blank is 2.5 mm thick, about 16 mm high and has about 77 mm of blade.
Total length from tip to end of tang is 170 mm, the tang can be cut to fit the handle.
Mora blades are well known amongst bushcrafters as good value, strong blades.
Note: if wanting the matching bolster, get the R24 in either brass or nickel silver.
Using a metal bolster makes for a clean, strong transition between blade and handle.
It also makes the build easier.

Good quality product well finished
It's a lot smaller than I anticipated so maybe a bit over priced but happy enough with it
