NKD is the knife brand of Dennis Holmbacka from Finland, mixing old Finnish knife traditions with new advancements in steel and design. The result is a unique combination of quality blades made in proven steels, often mixing traditional blade shapes and grinds with modern tang construction, carry options and weight distribution. 

The NKD Chef 195 chef's knife is made of the well-known 12C27 stainless steel  ,which works well in knives dedicated to  kitchen work. The Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel used for the blade is one of the most commonly used stainless steels in Europe.

Universal chef's knife

The qualities of the Chef 195 knife will be appreciated by both a novice culinary fan and a professional chef. The design of the NKD Chef 195 blade is based off the Japanese Gyuto, offering a thin, versatile kitchen knife. The long handle set at a slight upward angle from the blade gives the knife great ergonomics putting the wrist into a neutral position during use reducing stress while in use as well as keeping your finger off the bench top. The full tang blade handle is long and full, which ensures a secure grip, and at the same time has the right balance of the knife. with a flat grind that makes the knife perfect for both vegetables and meat. 

The blade has 2 mounting holes that match 1/4" Corby bolts or 3/16" (4.6 mm) handle pins.
