Quench Tank With 10 liters of Medium Speed Quench Oil

Solid steel quench tank with lid in "ammo can" style, larger than most normal ammo cans at 33 x 19 x 23 cm. Internal volume about 12 liters.

Green in colour with Nordic Edge logo on both sides and steel lid.

Good size for quenching knife blades, big enough to do either edge quench or full quench.

For optimal results heat the quench oil to 40-60 C before quenching, the warm oil cools the blade faster as the oil is thinner at higher temp and creates less of a steam jacket/bubble around the blade.

The quench oil is a medium speed commercial grade quench oil in a foil bag. Empty the oil into the quench tank and discard the foil bag before using it.
