Description
Maple Wood knife block, with birdseye figure (Big Blocks)
Maple is a pale wood, these are from the US. Some maple have very distinct patterns called "birdseye", these pieces are selected for the high degree of figure and play in the wood.
The pieces are about 38 x 38 x 155 mm in size, bigger than most of our blocks, a little darker than the picture below which brings out the character further.
