Description

Fiebing's Antique Stain, 4oz

Antique stain is often added to give a deeper contrast on leather that has been stamped or cut. Or added on top of dyed leather for a darker, slightly rustic look.

How to use:

The antique stain is applied and rubbed in with a moist spunge making sure to get into every crease and cut, then left to dry overnight.

When completely dry, buff with a sheepskin piece or a t-shirt, this removes most of the antique finish again.

Leaving some darker colour from the antique stain in the deeper parts of the leather that has been cut, stamped or creased, creating a contrasting or aged effect.

OR:

Some suggest rubbing it off again after only a minute or two, leaving some stain in the carved or marked sections of the leather while darkening the leather less than if it is left to dry. Experiment on a scrap piece of leather before going all-in on this one.
