Nordic Knife Design Ulu 170 Curly Birch
This blade is a beautiful modern take on the tradition Ulu knife used by many Arctic and Subarctic culture such as the Inuit, Iñupiat, Yupik, and Aleut to process game and prepare meals.
The NKD Ulu 170 is made from 2.6mm thick 440c Stainless steel and feature a 170mm blade with the iconic curve of an Ulu. With the Large radius enough to make it an exceptionally efficient tool in the kitchen. The forefinger hole allows for placing the palm right over the midpoint of the edge, which generates the weight and force of your hand to easily cut through vegetables, meat, and fish bones. This NKD Ulu is a real beast in the kitchen or why not for the camping tour.
The blade has been finished with Highly figured Curly Birch scales attached with Brass Corby Bolts and comes with a leather blade cover that uses a brass snap to hold the curved blade securely in place.

Came sharp as ready to use. Cuts all food easily with no effort. The curly birch handles looks great and feels good in the hand. A quick strop keeps it super sharp. The leather cover offers good blade protection. I highly recommend this blade as an alternative to a traditional kitchen knife.
