Puukko Lappi 85, Carbon Steel with Sheath

Traditional Scandinavian style woodsman knife in curly birch, reindeer antler and carbon steel blade.

The blade is about 85 mm long, 17 mm wide and about 3.2 mm thick.

The handle is in arctic curly birch and reindeer antler as well as a spacer in heat treated birch.

The knife is hand made in Finland by Lappituote using a production blade from Lauri and handle materials used for generations, and comes with a brown leather sheath. The sheath says "Hand made in Lapland" on the dangler and has some traditional figures of reindeer added.

This is a quite slim and elegant version of a traditional puuko, only 200 mm long, and about 23 mm wide at the middle. The blade has a traditional Scandi Grind, and is hardened to 58-59 HRC, perfect for all-around use. The handle is well shaped and comfortable in the hand.

The blade profile of the Lappi 85 has a clip point near the tip, as opposed to the straight back of the Lappi 95 versions.
