Description
Woodworkers Drawknife With Leather Sheath and rounded handles in Ash wood
A draw knife is a a blade with handles at each end, used to when making spoons, chair legs, archery bows and other woodworking objects. The work piece is fastened in a vice, a spoon mule or otherwise held firm so both hands can be used on the drawknife.
This is a drawknife made in Ukraine with a sharp 120 mm long blade in carbon steel and rounded or oval handles that are finished with traditional linseed oil.
Each handle is 105 mm long, the blade is 2 mm thick and total length is 330 mm. The drawknife comes with a protective leather sheath.
Note the blade is 2 mm thick and 120 mm long, this is a drawknife made for finer work, removing shavings from smaller projects and not built for removing bark and rough hewing tree trunks. These shorter, lighter drawknives are also used as "push knives" for instance when making Kuksa cups in wood.
There are two versions of this drawknife, this one has rounded slightly shorter handles in Ash.

Ash handle draw knife
Love it. As expected there’s honing to be done. I’m a mildly disappointed that I need to refit handles. Great for the money
