For knives where a machine finish is good enough, like brute-de-force blades with forge scale left on the back of the blade, these Scotch-brite like belts are awesome! They will not remove massive scratches, but minor scratches blend in with these finishing blades.

For our Knife makin workshops we use these to finish the forged blades after Ceramics > Alu Oxide belts with good results.

    Really impressed with how well this scotchbrite belt performed. It removed all the grinding blemishes and forge scale in a couple of runs.
    I wish I had ordered the fine belt as well.
