Brilliant attachment that replaces the platen of the grinder for variable-speed buffing. The option to slow down the buffer aims to increase control and safety, from less chance of the buffer grabbing the item being buffed.

NOTE: Requires 400 mm long tooling arm on the 2 x 72" Shop Master grinder > more details below if you have an older model.

Disclaimer - before ordering this wheel for a Shop Master 72" grinder, please measure your tooling arm. The 4" drive wheel on the buffing attachment requires a 400mm long tooling arm (all newer Shop Masters are supplied with these as standard).

Older Shop Master 72" grinders were supplied with 300mm tooling arms which will not work with this wheel. You can order a 400mm tooling arm, or use a small wheel arm if you have one.

The 84 engineering buffing attachment converts your Shop Mate 48", Shop Master 72" or Gibson 72" belt grinder linisher into a high powered, variable speed buffing machine.

The attachment simply slots into the standard tooling arm using a 19mm spigot and uses a standard belt to spin the zinc-coated steel spindle.

All rotating components on the buffing attachment are turned from billet metal in a precision CNC lathe, ensuring perfect concentricity and balance. The drive wheel is covered by a powder-coated sheet metal guard to keep operator safe from belt whilst using the attachment.

This attachment utilises a standard buffing wheel spindle and will fit all bench-grinder style buffing/polishing wheels.
