French Edge Skiving Tool
A handy leatherworking tool for gouging, skiving and cutting channels in leather. French edge skivers are particularly useful for thinning leather in areas that will be folded or bent, as well as creating neat recessed channels.
The comfortable wooden handle and cutting profile allow the tool to be used by both left- and right-handed crafters. Choose from five widths to suit anything from narrow detail work through to wider skiving and channel cuts.

Choosing a Size
Smaller sizes are useful for narrow grooves and detail work, while the wider sizes remove more material and are better suited to wider skiving and channel cuts.
