Description

Laurin Puukko 95 Blade, Carbon Steel

A classic Finnish puukko blade made by Laurin Metalli in Finland.

This is a sharp, practical carbon steel blade with a classic all-round puukko shape, suitable for whittling, camp chores, outdoor use and general knife making projects.

The blade is made from 80CrV2 carbon steel, which is a popular choice for outdoor and utility knives due to its toughness and ability to take a sharp edge.

Blade Details

Blade length: approx. 95 mm
Total length: approx. 212 mm from tip to end of tang
Blade thickness: approx. 3 mm
Blade height: approx. 20 mm
Steel: 80CrV2 carbon steel
Origin: Finland
Maker: Laurin Metalli

Notes

The tang can be cut to fit your handle design.

These blades are stamped out, helping to keep the cost down. You may need to file the tang and shoulders of the blade slightly before fitting a bolster.

As with all carbon steel blades, do not leave the blade wet. Keep it clean and dry to help prevent rust.

If you want the matching bolster, use the R30 Extended bolster.

    Very nice blade

Didn't want anything to expensive for my first knife, but it's a wonderful blade for the price and is easy to sharpen and get looking like something worth more then it is. Holds an edge pretty well.

    Laurin Puuko 95 blade

A great option for a quick kit knife. Quality steel with a good heat treat ready to fit up to a handle. Goldilocks size. Very versatile knife. I paired this up with the R30 bolster fitted to an old broken hammer handle-looks like a million bucks.

    Great little units

These are a quality unit. Half the work is done. Just needs a handle fitted up. Good edge. Plenty of tang. Needs a bit of a clean up but for the money great value.
