Suggested sanding method for blades:
- Wrap sheets around a hard backing (e.g., G10 or brass bar)
- Use Windex or a similar lubricant for wet sanding
- Alternate sanding direction between grits to identify remaining scratches
- Finish with a soft-backed block (e.g., leather-covered G10) from 320 grit and up
- Typical grit progression: 180 → 320 → 600 for carbon steel; up to 1000 or 1500 for stainless
