Description
Copper plate, 1 mm thick
Copper sheet or spacer material, approx 120 x 240 mm in size.
Used for spacer materials in handle construction, this is a single piece of copper approx one handle high and 6 handle blocks wide.
Copper transfers heat very well and can be ground very short time before it heats up, so cut as much to size as possible before gluing up handle block. Then grind in short intervals of only a couple of seconds max and let cool down again. If overheating the glue will let go and the block will come apart.
Can be polished to a brilliant shine, or patinaed with Liver of Sulphur for a dark,aged look.
