G10 is a high-pressure fibreglass laminate known for its toughness, water resistance, and dimensional stability. It’s an ideal choice for hard-wearing handles that maintain their shape and finish under demanding use.
G10 is much harder to cut and shape than Micarta, so sharp tools and patience are essential. As with any handle material, PPE is recommended, but even more so with G10.
Some people experience mild skin irritation from the fibreglass content, so wearing long sleeves, pants, gloves and a dust mask or respirator is strongly advised when sanding or grinding.
