G10 is much harder to cut and shape than Micarta, so sharp tools and patience are essential. As with any handle material, PPE is recommended, but even more so with G10.
Some people experience mild skin irritation from the fibreglass content, so wearing long sleeves, pants, gloves, and a dust mask or respirator is a good idea when sanding or grinding.
