Description
Traditional Scandinavian Leuku Knife from Finland
The blade is strong 80CrV2 Carbon Steel, the handle is in arctic birch and reindeer antler.
**Note these may or may not be engraved based on the way we receive them from Finland **
Blade length is 175 mm, total length is 300 mm. Width is 36.5 mm and thickness is 3.2 mm at the spine.
A strong, good knife for heavier use around the camp.
The "Leuku" or "sami knife" is a traditional style used in the North of Norway, Sweden and Finland.
The knife has a brass ferrule in the transition between blade and handle, the handle is finished with linseed oil for a grippy texture.
This finish is not as polished as some of our other knives, this is a "user" and expect some blotches or marks on the handle you are expected to use and oil again over time.
Sheath in brown leather.
