Description
LeopardWood Handle Scales x 2
Distinct marks in the wood of lighter colour against a base brown to tan base wood instantly identifies this handle material.
LeopardWood can be harder to work, woodworkers sometimes experience tear-outs when doing sharp corners and it requires a steady hand and sharp tools. It is a dense, solid wood and is prized for the unique look. Leopardwood is is the same family of trees as the Australian Beefwood, with distinct patterns not unlike Lacewood but both are denser, harder woods.
These blocks are cross-cut to maximise the display of the Leopard pattern.
This is a set of 2 scales, each is about 10 x 40 x 150 mm in size and even though we inspect every block, there may be hidden voids or cracks like in any natural material.
