Nordic Edge Viking Axe

 The perfect addition to your camping kit to split wood and keep your fire burning long into the night*.

Head is 1055 carbon steel, hardness 53-55 HRC with polished flats and poll.

Handle is hickory, flamed and sealed with tung oil for a comfortable grip and a leather collar to help protect against mis-strikes.

Total length 520 mm, head 170 , edge 110 mm, total weight 850 gr.

Axe comes with handy sheath in veg tanned leather.

These are production axes, not hand made but made in small batches and are not "perfect" as in a production axe with perfectly straight sides.

*this is not an actual wood chopping axe and we would not recommend this one on dry Australian hardwood.. Might be ok for some soft European pine but if you want a proper splitting axe this one is not what you are after :)
