These hybrid stabilised burl and resin blocks are being sold as seconds at a heavily reduced price due to a known colour issue with the resin.

The blocks were originally supplied to us with a pearl white resin. After exposure to UV/light, the resin on the outside of the blocks has changed from pearl white to a silver/grey colour, as shown in the current photos.

Because of this, we cannot guarantee the final colour or long-term colour stability of the resin.

Please be aware:

• The resin currently appears silver/pearl grey on the outside of the blocks.
• When the block is cut, ground or shaped, the resin underneath may be lighter or pearl white.
• The resin may change colour again after shaping or with future exposure to UV/light.
• It may become darker, greyer or otherwise change in tone over time.
• We cannot predict or guarantee what the finished colour will be.
• Photos show the current appearance of these blocks. Each block will vary in burl figure, resin pattern and colour.

The blocks are therefore recommended for makers who are happy to experiment with the material and accept the possibility of ongoing colour variation.

The hybrid blocks are made from stabilised burl wood combined with resin and are suitable for knife handles and other small craft projects.
