Zirconia Grinding Belts for Handle Materials 

Coarse long-lasting grinding belts on stiff polyester cloth backing for handle materials.

In knife making these are used for softer materials like wood and synthetic handle materials, having less abrasive on the belt so they do not clog as easily as "steel belts" do if used on handle materials.

These will last a long time in our experience if used on soft materials only. You can clean them up with a rubber belt cleaner if not too clogged. They will clog eventually or simply wear down but in our experience they last for a good while when used on most wood, micarta and acrylics.

Dimensions are 2" x 48" (50 x 1220 mm) or 2 x 72" (50 x 1830 mm), the most popular knife/metal work grinders.

Grits are 60 grit which is very rough and removes a lot of wood quickly, and 120 grit which we use to grind more to final shape at a lower speed before going to the disc grinder for accuracy.
