For knives where a machine finish is good enough, like brute-de-force blades with forge scale left on the back of the blade, these Scotch-brite belts are awesome! They will not remove massive scratches, but minor scratches blend in with these finishing blades.

For our Knife making workshops we use these to finish the forged blades after 3M Cubitron II > Alu Oxide belts with good results.
