Ambila Wood Block
Ambila is a name used across several species of trees and used in the furniture industry as a rosewood alternative.
The wood looks good and machines well with an attractive red-brown colour.
Each block is about 30 x 40 x 130 mm in size.

It's a beautiful timber, perfect size and dimensions, gorgeous grain pattern and chatoyance beautiful finish with 400+ and tung oil. The only issue was it doesn't take lines very well due to the natural dark colour, it's also a very dense wood, so caution must be taken when shaping handles with different species of timber and sanding is a slow a tedious process. Would be excellent for a maker with moderate experience
