Purple Heart Wood Handle Block
Solid block of Purple Wood in roughly 30 x 40 x 120 mm size for stick tang handle making.
Purple Heart is another tree originating from South America and has a distinct colour, making it easy to recognise by the purplish/red/brown hue.
Over time the wood will become brown in colour if not sealed, we recommend sealing the wood and not leaving it exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
The wood is rated as "very durable", resisting decay and most insect attacks and a popular wood among wood workers and knife makers.
Every block is inspected before shipment but we cannot guarantee against hidden cracks or voids in natural materials.
