Description
Bottom Fuller tool with 1" shank
Anvil tool for blacksmithing, may need some final filing or grinding to fit the anvil. About 1" shank, cast steel tool.
About 50 x 40 x 140 mm in size about 8 mm diameter of fuller. This is quite a narrow fuller, can be ground down for a wider diameter if needed.
The fuller tool is the underside of a peen hammer or rounding hammer when wanting to agressively draw out stock.
Rather than using for instance a straight peen hammer and the flat of the anvil, having a curved fuller underneath is more efficient - drawing the steel out in fewer heats and with less hammering. A flat hammer face is afterwards used to at a high heat flatten out and remove the marks left by the hammer and fullering tool.
The fullering tool is more agressive than using a gently rounded anvil horn but works in a similar way.
