Brisa Tommi 125 mm blade, Carbon Steel

Note the recommendation from Brisa to add a micro-bevel on this blade to strengthen the edge before use in hard materials (like Australian woods):

"The Tommi knifeblade line is our developement of the traditional Finnish Tommi knifeblades. The grind high goes to zero. This will mean the knife edge is quite delicate.For improving strength it is receommended to do an initial shaperning to create a micro bevel before use."

The Tommi blade is 4.5 mm thick at the spine, with 125 mm of blade length at about 22.5 mm high. Total length including the tang is 245 mm. The blade is in C60 Carbon Steel with a Scandi ground edge that goes to true zero, creating a very sharp and thin edge. For "rougher" use, this edge will benefit from a light sharpening before use, to create an additional "micro-bevel" which will take off the thinnest part of the edge.
