Description
Canarywood knife block
Canarywood is a South American wood, growing from Panama down to Brazil with a easily recognisable fragrance. Even dry blocks of wood have a pleasent smell. (these smell amazing in my opinion << Bjorn)
Machines, glues and finishes well despite the somewhat oily feel. Can vary somewhat in colour from yellow to brown, through orange/ochre tones and sometimes even rainbow-like streaks in the wood. Is said to have good acoustic properties and used in some string instruments (ref: The Wood Database)
The blocks are 30 x 40 x 120 mm in size, dry and ready to use with waxed ends.
