Damascus 25 Layer 1084/15N20 Billets from Standen Knives

stunning damascus billets made in Australia by Dane Standen.

  • 25 layer carbon steel damascus 
  • 1084 & 15N20

 

These require care when using, like grinding bevels on all edges before heat treatment to reduce the chance of any issues in the quench.

They do however make a stunning blade for those who can handle them!

Heat treat like 1084 carbon steel, then etch in ferric chloride and then coffee.

    A nice piece of steel that finished beautifully but I would have liked it to be a little bit thicker -say 4mm.
