Description
Jarrah Wooden Knife Handle Scales
Jarrah (Eucalytpus marginata) is a large Australian hardwood tree with deep red heartwood and paler outer sapwood. It has an even, course grained structure with some fiddleback patterns, making it a popular furniture, woodworking and knife making timber. It weights around 820 kg per cubic meter, making it a fairly "light" hardwood as Australian native woods go.
Set of 2 knife handle scales for a great looking knife handle, from Australian Jarrah wood.
Each scale is about 150 x 50 x 10 mm, dry and straight.
Due to the grain structure and distinct colouring, all scales are slightly different but similar to the ones pictured.
Sands and polishes up to a beautiful reddish brown colour with darker streaks.
