Hardy Hot Cut Tool for Blacksmithing
Used in the hardy hole of an anvil to hot cut steel while forging.
Place the steel on the hot cut and hit it with a hammer - stopping before your hammer touches the edge - then break off the end with another pair of tongs.
Comes in 2 sizes, shank roughly 3/4" (approx 20 x 20 mm) or 1" (approx 26 x 26 mm) shank.
cast hot cut tool, shank size is rough and it will need to be cleaned up or ground to exact size for your anvil.
These are not hardened, use them for hot steel and do not hit it with a hammer.
