Description
This half-tanned leather is a unique material often used for traditional Nordic sheaths (puukko and leuku style).
It is vegetable-tanned on one side and rawhide-like on the other, giving it a stiff, slightly translucent finish that holds its shape exceptionally well. Once wet-formed and dried, it hardens significantly — making it perfect for knife sheaths with a secure, rigid fit.
This is the same type of leather used by traditional Scandinavian makers.
